Acceptable Use & Messaging Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
To keep WhatsApp useful and safe, every business on MAT Business CRM must follow this policy together with Meta’s WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and Commerce Policy.
1. Consent (opt-in)
- Message only people who gave you permission to contact them on WhatsApp — for example by messaging you first, ticking a clear checkbox on your website or form, or agreeing in person — and who know your business name.
- Keep a record of how and when consent was given. Do not buy, rent or scrape phone number lists.
- Every promotional message should make it easy to stop, e.g. “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”. Opt-outs must be honoured immediately.
2. Message quality
- Use templates approved by WhatsApp for business-initiated messages; do not try to bypass template review.
- Do not send spam, repeated unwanted messages, misleading content, or messages pretending to be another person or business.
- Keep your quality rating healthy; high block or report rates may lead Meta to limit your number.
3. Prohibited content and businesses
You may not use MAT Business CRM for anything prohibited by WhatsApp’s Commerce Policy or the law, including: illegal products or services; drugs and drug paraphernalia; weapons, ammunition and explosives; tobacco and alcohol sales; gambling or betting with real money; adult content or services; counterfeit goods; multi-level marketing or get-rich-quick schemes; payday loans or misleading financial offers; promising guaranteed investment returns; collecting passwords, card numbers or other sensitive data in chats; hate, harassment or violence; and malware or phishing.
4. Platform security
Do not attempt to access other clients’ data, overload the Service, reverse-engineer it, or share your account credentials or API keys publicly.
5. Enforcement
We may pause campaigns, remove content, suspend or close accounts that break this policy, and cooperate with Meta’s reviews. Report abuse to us via the contact page.
